Terms of Service
Effective July 27, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SectorSight, including the SectorSight website, application, API, MCP server, and email briefs (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What SectorSight is
SectorSight provides competitive and industry intelligence. Based on the coverage you set (such as your industry, the companies you track, your own company and positioning, the signals you follow, and your delivery schedule), the Service gathers publicly available material, applies automated classification and summarization, and presents the results as a continuous feed, scheduled email briefs, and on-demand company analyses.
2. Not investment advice
The Service provides general information only. Nothing in any feed item, brief, analysis, score, or other output constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or other instrument, or legal, tax, or accounting advice. Output is prepared automatically from third-party sources, may contain errors, omissions, or delays, and must not be relied on as the sole basis for any investment or business decision. You are solely responsible for your decisions. SectorSight is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution.
3. Accounts and seats
You sign in with your email address. You are responsible for maintaining control of that email account and for all activity under your SectorSight account. Each plan includes a fixed number of seats; a seat is an individual sign-in and may not be shared between people. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old. We may decline, suspend, or close accounts at our discretion, including where these Terms are violated.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis, at the pricing and billing interval shown at checkout. Where offered, an introductory free-trial period on the entry plan is included and no payment method is required to start it. A free trial is available once per person; a trial that ends without a payment method simply ends, and closing and re-creating an account does not restart trial eligibility. Usage allowances (such as analyses per week) reset on their stated schedule and do not roll over. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and your access continues through the period already paid. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) resell the Service's output, redistribute it commercially, or systematically republish feed items, briefs, or analyses without our written permission; (b) use the Service to develop a competing product; (c) share seats or API credentials outside your organization; (d) probe, disrupt, or circumvent security, rate limits, or usage limits; (e) use the Service in violation of applicable law. Output is licensed for your internal business use. Occasionally forwarding an individual brief or analysis to a colleague is fine; standing distribution to people who are not on your subscription is not.
6. API and MCP access
Plans include programmatic access through the API and MCP server. API keys are issued per account, must be kept confidential, and may be revoked or rate-limited to protect the Service. Programmatic access is subject to the same usage license as the rest of the Service: internal business use, no commercial redistribution, and no use of the output to train or build a competing product.
7. Third-party content and sources
The Service summarizes and links to content owned by third parties, including news publishers, trade press, wire services, regulators, and the companies being covered. That content belongs to its owners. Links may lead to paywalled or subscription sites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or content.
8. Automated content
Output is generated using automated systems, including artificial-intelligence models. We design the Service to summarize only from fetched source material and to carry source links through as data, but automated summaries can be incomplete or inaccurate. Figures that are not publicly disclosed are presented as labeled estimates or as not disclosed. Always verify material facts against the linked source before acting on them.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by SectorSight and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
10. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that every relevant development will be captured. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECTORSIGHT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR TRADING OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 2, 7, 9, 11, 12, and 14) survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in the application, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
