Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SectorSight collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the SectorSight website, application, API, MCP server, and email briefs (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Account information. Your email address (used to sign in and to deliver briefs), and any profile details you choose to provide, such as your name and role.

Coverage settings. The settings that shape your intelligence: your industry description, the companies you track, your own company and positioning, the signals you follow, and your delivery schedule and time zone. Your positioning describes how you see your own competitive situation; it is used only to frame findings for you and is never shared with other customers or published anywhere.

Usage information. Operational records needed to run the Service, such as briefs generated and sent, analyses run, sweeps requested, API calls, and basic technical logs. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on the Service.

Billing information. For paid plans, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment details; we store your subscription status and billing identifiers, never full card numbers.

Local storage. The application stores small preferences in your browser (such as theme and session tokens) so you stay signed in and keep your display settings. These are functional, not advertising, technologies.

2. How we use information

We use your information to: generate and deliver your feed, briefs, and analyses; operate, secure, and improve the Service; enforce plan and usage limits; respond to support requests; send service-related messages (such as sign-in links and delivery notices); and comply with law. Your coverage settings steer sourcing, classification, and writing. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service, each receiving only what it needs: cloud infrastructure and database hosting for accounts and coverage settings; an email delivery provider to send sign-in links and briefs; a payment processor (Stripe) for paid subscriptions; and artificial-intelligence model providers that process source text and your coverage settings to classify items and write summaries. These providers act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes, except that the payment processor also acts as an independent controller of payment data under its own privacy policy.

4. What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store payment card numbers ourselves; payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect information from your employer's systems. Intelligence is built only from publicly available sources and the coverage settings you provide.

5. Retention

Account information and coverage settings are kept while your account is active. Feed, brief, and analysis history is retained so your archive works. Operational logs are kept for a limited period for security and reliability. When your account is deleted, associated personal information is deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law and except for a minimal fraud-prevention record: we keep a note that an email address has already used a free trial, so deleting and re-creating an account does not reset that one-time allowance.

6. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your coverage settings in the application at any time, pause deliveries, or unsubscribe from briefs. You may request a copy of your personal information, or its correction or deletion, by emailing info@sectorsight.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (such as the GDPR or CCPA); we will honor valid requests consistent with those laws.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections, passwordless email sign-in, and access controls that restrict each account to its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is intended for professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. International transfers

The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed there and in the regions used by our service providers. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed outside your home jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in the application, and the effective date above will be updated.
